schoenherr’s Istan­bul office assists inter­na­tion­al clients on their invest­ments in Turkey and advis­es Turk­ish clients on their busi­ness inter­ests in Cen­tral and East­ern Europe. The office spe­cialis­es in cor­po­rate and M&A trans­ac­tions, real estate trans­ac­tions, financ­ings and com­mer­cial lit­i­ga­tion and is par­tic­u­lar­ly expe­ri­enced in advis­ing on large cross-bor­der trans­ac­tions. First set up in 2009 through a for­mal­ized coop­er­a­tion between schoen­herr and the Istan­bul law firm Türkoğlu & Çelepçi, the office is being ful­ly inte­grat­ed into schoenherr’s region­al net­work in 2013. The Turkey office con­sti­tutes a bridge­head into what is the firm’s sin­gle largest nation­al mar­ket and Europe’s fastest-grow­ing econ­o­my. The Istan­bul team com­pris­es 21 fee earn­ers, includ­ing man­ag­ing part­ner Lev­ent Çelepçi. In addi­tion, Vien­na-based part­ner Alexan­der Popp sup­ports the Istan­bul team in Turk­ish M&A and ener­gy projects.
